The Lexology Client Choice Award, established in 2005, recognises individuals for their exceptional client care, focusing on a person’s ability to add real value to clients’ businesses above and beyond the other players in the market.

The HKA awardees for this year’s Lexology Client Choice 2024 are spread across five work areas in six countries.

In Canada, John Baxter, based in Alberta, and Lorna Cuthbertson Tardif, based in Quebec, are winners in Construction – Expert Witness, and Construction work areas, respectively.

In the US, Daniel Kwon, based in California, and Kimberly Reome, based in Illinois, are winners in the Construction – Expert Witness and Energy – Experts work areas, respectively. 

In the UK, Gerry Brannigan and Helen Collie are winners in the Construction – Expert Witness work areas, and David McIntyre is a winner in the Energy – Experts work area.

In France, Jana Lefranc is a winner in the Arbitration Expert Witness work area.

In Saudi Arabia, Nader Emile is a winner in the Construction – Expert Witness work area.

In Qatar, Feras Al Roumani is a winner in the Construction – Expert Witness work area.

The research methodology for the Client Choice Award relies on nominations from in-house counsel, alongside market analysis. Clients are asked to rate individuals on a variety of client service criteria, including commercial awareness, industry knowledge, strategic thinking, responsiveness, effective communication, clarity of documentation, sharing of expertise, and loyalty and ethics. To ensure that the results cannot be influenced, firms are not informed when this initial round of research is conducted.
