HKA, the world’s leading construction claims and dispute resolution firm, welcomes Sue Kim to its growing team of experts. Sue joins HKA as Director based in its London office and will play an essential role in developing and expanding the firm’s expert services offering in Europe.

Sue has over 15 years of quantity surveying experience and is a practised quantum expert specialising in the preparation, negotiation and settlement of construction claims for disputed variations, prolongation and disruption. She has been appointed on quantum disputes in mediation, arbitration, adjudication, and litigation and has acted as a Single Joint Expert (SJE) for the High Court of Justice (EWHC).

Sue has an accomplished track record across a wide range of industry sectors including Buildings, Industrial, Infrastructure, Oil and Gas, and Power and Utilities complemented with a strong international background having worked in the UK, Middle East, and Asia.

Sue holds a BSc (Hons) in Architectural Engineering from the Sejong University, South Korea, a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying from the University of Reading, UK, and an MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution from King’s College London, UK. She is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb).
