HKA announced today that Nasir Khan has joined HKA as Principal in the Advisory, Claims and Commercial Management (ACCM) team, based out of the London office.

Nasir is an engineer, chartered quantity surveyor, chartered procurement specialist, is legally qualified and is an expert in claims advisory and dispute resolution. He also has fellowship of various institutions and acts as an advisor, expert, mediator, adjudicator, and arbitrator.

Nasir has 20 years of engineering, commercial and legal experience in the construction, engineering and infrastructure industries, and his background covers major infrastructure and capital project sectors; including energy, utilities, commercial property, oil and gas, manufacturing, ports, highways and rail. Nasir has led large and complex procurement programmes and has managed claims through to dispute resolution on quantum, delay and engineering issues.

Nasir is also an approved faculty and teaches arbitration and mediation globally on behalf of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He regularly writes and speaks on matters relating to sustainability, procurement, ADR and dispute avoidance.

Outside of his mainstream professional life, Nasir co-founded Muslims in Rail, is Chair of Trustees at Faith Legal Resolution, is Vice Chair of the CIArb Pakistan Branch, and was awarded an MBE for his services to equality, diversity and inclusion. He is also an FA licensed football coach and runs a youth football teams in his leisure time.

As part of the ACCM team, Nasir will be responsible for managing the overall technical delivery of key commissions and will take the lead role in negotiating and agreeing new appointments.
