Jon Scherr joins HKA’s Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages Group

HKA has announced that Jon Scherr has joined the firm as Associate Director within the Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages Group (FACD). He is based in HKA’s New York office.
Scherrhas more than 15 years of diverse investigative experience providing various investigative and consulting services in both domestic and international matters such as fraud investigations and litigation support. He has conducted corporate and white-collar fraud investigations involving Ponzi schemes, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the UK Bribery Act (UKBA), anti-money laundering, and fraud risk mitigation. He has also provided risk assessments and internal controls evaluations for design and operating effectiveness.
Scherr’s casework encompasses the insurance, entertainment, logistics, manufacturing, government services, pharmaceutical, retail, and financial industries. Throughout his career, he has provided expert investigative advisory services in matters of employee malfeasance, executive breach of fiduciary duties, money laundering, and anti-bribery and corruption. Scherr has also assisted clients with fraud risk mitigation, internal controls, and policies and procedures related to anti-money laundering, anti-terrorist financing, and anti-bribery and corruption.
Scherr earned his MS in Economic Crime Forensics from LaSalle University and his
BA in Administration of Justice from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Licensed Investigator in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
