Our approach to managing the COVID-19 pandemic
HKA is managing this evolving and uncertain situation through our Crisis Management and Business Continuity Frameworks.
Our approach is enshrined in HKA’s Group Crisis Management Plan (CMP). In accordance with HKA’s Crisis Management Framework, the Global and Regional Crisis Management Teams are established and have been managing this situation since the onset in January 2020. Following a collaborative approach, our colleagues work together to make decisions informed by credible and the most recent information released by competent authorities.

Managing the pandemic using IDORP C-19
The purpose of the Infectious Disease Outbreak Response Plan COVID-19 (IDORP C-19) is to enable the HKA management to protect against or contain an outbreak of COVID-19 disease within HKA premises. This is consistent with HKA’s principle objective of ensuring colleagues’ health and well-being.
This document outlines the general principles and specific actions for responding to a pandemic of COVID-19 under the HKA Crisis Management Framework and in line with best practice.

HKA’s Claims Management Tool helps clients maintain compliance with clear oversight and control of claims
Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, construction and engineering works are already being disrupted by delays, site closures, and this is exacerbated as members of the project team are also being asked to work from home or alternatively forced to self-isolate. Developers, operators, contractors and other members of the supply chain are already reviewing their contractual arrangements, and that will undoubtedly see a significant rise in claims.
