Alastair is an experienced Construction Project Manager with 23 years of experience with the last 8 years as consultant project manager where his role included contract administration and acting as Employer’s Agent. Prior to his career in consultancy, Alastair worked for contractors for 15 years in various roles on numerous construction projects and was a Director of David Beveridge Ltd where he was involved in all aspects of the business as well as the management, resourcing and programming of multiple concurrent projects and, the tendering for future works.
Michael Berta, Principal

Mr. Berta has more than 25 years of experience working in the construction industry. He is a construction cost and damages expert who has testified in Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals, and AAA Arbitrations. He has consulted on matters involving project delay, labor inefficiency, contract compliance, and cost overrun issues primarily related to large and sophisticated construction projects. He has authored expert reports and provided expert testimony on cost and delay damages and the application of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) cost principles to construction claims. He has participated in and presented at numerous mediations, prepared and analyzed many large change orders and REAs, and assisted clients with settlement negotiations.
Michael Hartles, Associate Director

Mike is an accomplished, adaptable and enthusiastic professional and brings with him extensive experience having worked as a planning, scheduling and resource professional for over 23 years working primarily in the rail industry. Mike has previously worked at Network Rail, Parsons Brinkerhoff, Sydney Metro and Sydney Trains.
He has experience on large construction and engineering projects including major station redevelopments at London Waterloo and Birmingham New Street, The Great Western Electrification Project, West Coast Route Modernisation and Sydney Metro.

James is a lawyer with experience in commercial matters for corporations, construction, and property clients. James has provided complex legal advice on strategic and commercial issues in litigious and non-litigious matters at a large commercial law firm. James’ experience has developed his research, analytical and communication skills which allow him to provide transparent and quality outcomes for clients.

Jenna Komensky is an outcome-driven, detail-oriented professional experienced in identifying numerical patterns and analyzing financial data. She finds fulfillment in providing analytical support to drive business needs. She is skilled in Excel, Tableau, Oracle BI, and Corp Tax. She joins the New York office as Senior Associate Consultant.
Joseph Lopez, Document Controller

He has delivered strategic information management projects within NSW state-owned corporations, departments, and the private sector. David Murray, Associate Technical Director

David is an experienced Chartered Building Services Engineer, with a background initially as an electrician and gas engineer and consultant design engineer. He has worked in sectors including oil and gas, water/wastewater treatment works, industrial, data centres, low and zero-carbon technologies and manufacturing as well as most other sectors.
David has been a design engineer for over twenty years and has extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical design engineering, specification of equipment as well as testing, inspection, commissioning and problem-solving. Throughout his career, he has encountered catastrophic failures to investigate and repair.
David specialises in renewables design and is a specialist in photovoltaic systems and electric vehicle chargers.

Alan Wakim, Associate Director

Alan Wakim is a civil engineer and a chartered quantity surveyor with over 13 years of professional experience in the construction industry. He has worked internationally across various segments, undertaking complex infrastructure projects such as airports, high-rise towers, rail, and transmission lines.
Alan specializes in performing quantum analyses on large-scale construction disputes. Alan’s area of expertise is centred on producing quantum reports and quantum analyses that include calculating loss of productivities and disruption, prolongation costs, as well as other quantum related matters. His advanced analytical skills and ability to effectively manage large datasets have been key to the successful delivery of projects and expert quantum reports under tight deadlines.
Alan holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying. He is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and is fluent in English and Arabic.
