Christian Jeffery has nearly 15 years of experience in the energy and commodities industries. He has been appointed as an expert and assisted the named expert on more than 100 occasions.
Christian has acted in both commercial and investor-state disputes and has been cross-examined in arbitration. He has also assisted in the annulment proceedings relating to a major ICSID award. His work totals disputed values in excess of $35 billion.
Christian has worked on projects throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia providing project and commodity valuations and advice regarding commercial structures and terms. In addition to his broad background in both energy and natural resources sectors, he has experience in construction, transportation, and banking litigation.
Christian specialises in the economic and commercial matters related to energy projects and transactions, and commodity valuations. He has extensive experience of leading teams to gather and analyse relevant data and in presenting analytic, commercial, and factual evidence to dispute proceedings.
Christian has been published in the Investment Treaty Arbitration Review regarding damages valuation methods and energy and commodity arbitrations. He holds master’s degrees in mathematics and philosophy.
