National Conference of Internal Auditors and National Forum on Fraud and Corruption 

HKA’s Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages Partner, Jeff Matthews, will be in Mexico City from October 23 to 25 for the National Conference of Internal Auditors and the National Forum on Fraud and Corruption. This event is sponsored by the Instituto Mexicano de Auditores Internos, A.C. (IIA-Mexico). 

On October 25 at 16:20 CDMX time, Jeff is presenting “Fraud Risk Management of Suppliers and External Service Providers.” During his session, he will analyze case studies and lessons learned to reinforce the importance of companies performing due diligence, strategic audits of relevant parties, and continuous monitoring to mitigate risk exposure in procurement.  

This year’s National Conference of Internal Auditors and the National Forum on Fraud and Corruption will address the profound changes occurring in the field of internal auditing, including the introduction of new global standards, increasing cybersecurity and data risk, and rapid developments in disruptive technologies, among others. To address these changes, IIA-Mexico prepared a technical program that will educate internal auditors on the latest standards, trends, and best practices for internal audit, risk management, technology, governance, and other related disciplines of the profession.  

To celebrate IIA-Mexico’s 40th Anniversary, the National Conference is taking place in conjunction with the National Forum on Fraud and Corruption, a fundamental event that supports efforts to build effective barriers against corruption and fraud.
