HKA’s Francisco Matta will speak about “Understanding and Reading Construction Documents” at the Hillsborough County Bar Association Construction Law Section Luncheon on January 18. The hour-long luncheon, which begins at 12:00 PM ET, is being held at the Chester H. Ferguson Law Center in Tampa.
Francisco will discuss how contract documents impact the reading of construction drawings, provide an overview of different types of construction documents and how they are related, and review the phases of construction drawings. Attendees can earn 1.0 CLE credit.

Francisco Matta is an architect with almost 30 years of experience. He has been appointed as the lead expert on over 20 occasions. Francisco has served as an expert witness for construction disputes in state and federal courts, arbitration panels, and mediation forums in the United States and Latin America in English and Spanish. He has testified on matters on projects valued up to US$39.5M. Francisco has extensive experience as an architect directing all aspects of the design and construction and administration process for a multitude of projects throughout the northeastern United States and the Caribbean. His design experience includes institutional buildings courthouses, educational facilities, commercial establishments, warehouses, residential developments, and individual homes.
