Join Principal Fire, Life Safety, and Loss Prevention Expert Peter Van Gorp as he presents, using case examples, what the fire expert witness does and what kind of disputes and claims the fire expert gets involved in. The presentation will also highlight the various specialties in fire expertise and how the fire expert’s typical involvement in large multidisciplinary claims.
After the presentation the audience should have a better picture on the scope of the fire expert.
Peter Van Gorp
Principal
Peter Van Gorp has over 30 years of experience as a Fire Engineer and has spent more than 20 years of his career in the Middle East. He leads the Fire Engineering Discipline at HKA and acts as an expert witness on fire safety-related matters, working globally with experts in every discipline in Buildings, Infrastructure, Energy, and Oil and Gas.
Peter is highly experienced in fire, life safety, and loss prevention and has been engaged in various types of building projects, including schools, hotels, hospitals, large shopping malls, multi-occupancy high-rises, and industrial developments. He has operated on projects from the initial concept stages to assisting during construction.
