Director Laura Lewis of HKA’s Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages practice is speaking on “Prevailing Wage Issues” at the 2024 National Association of Construction Auditors (NACA) Conference in Research Triangle Park. She takes the stage on September 10 at 3:00 PM ET to discuss how HKA streamlines prevailing wage rate compliance audits by using data analytics to connect payroll records to the audit process and reporting results. Laura will explain how HKA worked alongside owners and contractors to provide the tools necessary to reduce job classification issues and develop an efficient audit process that delivers high-quality audit reports.

The 2024 NACA Conference features 15 sessions with 16.5 CPE credits over two days. Sessions include discussions on AI and construction auditing, the latest trends in contracts and conflicts, construction cost allowance, fraud, guaranteed maximum price contracts, claims, change order reviews, engagement planning strategies, and internal audits as risk management tools. Attendees will also enjoy celebrating NACA’s 16th anniversary and attending several networking receptions, including a special reception for women in auditing.

This year’s two-day conference – with its many opportunities for learning and networking – should not be missed!
