Director Mariusz Wiechec is presenting “Quantitative Risk Management – How Human Behaviors Impact Statistical Results” at the 2024 AACE Northeast Symposium in Tysons, Virginia, on March 21 at 3:15 PM ET. Mariusz will examine the behavioral and statistical concepts underpinning quantitative risk management and convey some personal lessons learned from running risk processes on multi-billion-dollar construction programs.
Now in its eighth year, this symposium is sponsored by the Northeast Sections of AACE (Region 2) and includes technical presentations, collaborative discussion sessions, and workshops in project management and program delivery, total cost management, and risk management. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with other professionals and share their experience.
The various sessions will focus on program and project planning, execution via multiple delivery methods, project controls and performance evaluation, decision risk management, quality and optimization of delivery, and claims avoidance and dispute resolution. Mariusz Wiechec, Director
Mariusz is a civil engineer with more than 10 years of international construction experience. Mariusz specializes in providing independent expert opinion and claims consulting services on matters of delay, damages, disruption, and loss of productivity. He has authored six expert reports and prepared numerous expert analyses and reports for various dispute resolution proceedings.
Mariusz has worked on multiple projects in various roles across Canada, Mexico, Poland, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States. His experience includes claims management, dispute resolution consulting, risk management, schedule management, project controls, and design development.
Mariusz’s expertise lies in taking a holistic approach to problematic matters and combining forensic delay analysis with disruption and analyses of increased costs. His strong technical knowledge and ability to present his findings clearly and logically allow him to support clients across a complex range of disputes.
