2024 American Arbitration Association (AAA) Construction Conference  

HKA is excited to be a Leadership Sponsor of the 2024 AAA Construction Conference in Miami on March 21. This year’s conference examines the fascinating synergy between emerging technologies and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in the construction industry. Seyran Celik, Willliam D. Guernier, Hansell Pasco, Tracy Doyle, and Luis F. Cintron will be representing HKA in Miami and hope to see you at our booth!  

Seyran Celik, alongside Dr. Patricia D. Galloway of Galloway Arbitration; Katharine Kohm of Pierce Atwood LLP; and Lisa Mingoia of Skanska, is speaking on a panel titled “Can Emerging Technology in the Construction Industry Lead to Unintended Disputes?” at 11:30 AM ET. During their discussion, the panelists will provide real-world examples of how evolving technology can affect disputes and how clients and practitioners can use technology favorably. Michael Marra, AAA’s Division Vice President, will serve as the session moderator. 

Attendees will leave this year’s conference with a better understanding of how emerging technologies can be leveraged for efficient construction practices, all while embracing the importance of ADR in dispute resolution.  

Seyran Celik, Partner 

Seyran is an appointed engineering expert, construction claims advisor, and forensic schedule analyst who has provided expert services for matters in arbitration, litigation, and mediation. Recognized by Who’s Who Legal (WWL) as an Expert in Construction – Quantum, Delay & Technical, she has been retained as a delay and disruption professional by domestic and international contractors, owners, A/E firms, and law firms. Seyran has also assisted internationally acclaimed delay and quantum experts on multibillion-dollar construction projects in Australia, Europe, Latin America, and the United States. She has significant project management and design experience as a geotechnical engineer, with expertise in the analysis of shallow and deep foundations, slope stabilization, ground improvement, and roadways. In addition to her professional responsibilities at HKA, Seyran is the Past Chair of the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) Committee for the Americas region.
