Daniel is a key hire within the rapidly growing FACD team and was listed in the Financier Power Players Exceptional Experts for International Arbitration and has received a Client Choice Financial and Valuation Award for Quantum of Damages.

Daniel has over 20 years of accounting experience, the last 15 of which specialise in the provision of forensic accounting in commercial disputes and financial investigations.

He is regularly appointed as an expert in the field of forensic accounting, providing expert input to matters including breaches of contract, transactional disputes, valuations, commercial transactions, professional negligence and loss of profit. Daniel has prepared expert reports under many court and arbitral proceedings and has given oral evidence in the English High Court (TCC) and in International Arbitration proceedings. He has also been appointed as an expert in determinations and has supported mediation proceedings.

Daniel’s work covers matters in both the UK and many overseas locations, including Europe, the Middle East and Asia. In the eight-year period from 2012 to 2019, Daniel was based in the United Arab Emirates, providing forensic services in the majority of the countries in the GCC.

He has extensive experience across several industry sectors, including construction and infrastructure, hospitality, sports and entertainment, oil and gas, and energy.

Daniel joined HKA from the forensic team at Grant Thornton, where he was the Head of International Arbitration from 2020 to 2023. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at FTI Consulting (2017 to 2019) and a Director at PwC (2014 to 2016). He commenced his career with BDO in 2002.
