The following podcast is a 7-minute interview between HKA Cybersecurity and Privacy leader Michael Corcione and SEC Specialist Chris Hetner, a former U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Senior Cybersecurity Advisor who has now joined HKA. 

HKA continues to expand their Cybersecurity Team and client focus within the c-suite of private equity, broker dealers, and financial services with the addition of Chris Hetner as Strategic Advisor. Based in the firm’s New York office, Chris experience as a regulator will play a key role expanding HKA’s cyber security and privacy services.

Chris joins HKA from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where he served as the Senior Cybersecurity Advisor to the Chair and as Head of Cybersecurity for the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations at the SEC. He also represented the Chair of the SEC as a senior member of the US Department of the Treasury Financial Banking Information Infrastructure Committee. His greatest contributions included vision for and implementation of the cybersecurity framework that improved the National Examination Program’s ability to monitor and respond to Cyber risks and threats across the US Securities market and release of the SEC 2018 Cybersecurity Interpretive Guidance.
