The 2016 Chambers USA guide describes him as “very well versed in construction law and construction related issues.” Jim works closely with other practice groups serving the construction practice needs of Seyfarth’s real estate, transportation, healthcare, franchise, employment, and corporate practices.
About one-third of Jim’s practice involves drafting and negotiating construction contracts and procurement documents such as RFPs for design, construction, EPC, or design-build services, providing advice during the design phase and during the contractor’s preconstruction services, and providing analysis and advice on the preparation, prosecution, and defense of claims during the construction phase.
I see many construction contractors who do not understand the implications of the Federal Acquisitions Regulation clauses that are included in their contracts.”
