Amelia East joins HKA as New Zealand Lead

HKA announced today that Amelia East, an infrastructure and major projects specialist, is joining the firm as Partner and Head of New Zealand.
Amelia is a qualified solicitor in New Zealand, England and Wales and has nearly 20 years’ industry experience in construction, infrastructure, water, and energy.
Since moving to New Zealand in 2014, Amelia has led the negotiation of transport and infrastructure projects for the government, including Auckland Light Rail and Waikeria Prison. She also headed the Infrastructure Funding and Finance (IFF) work programme whilst at The Treasury – New Zealand. Amelia recently completed a contract at the Department of Internal Affairs, New Zealand, as the Establishment and Transition Director for the Three Waters Reform.

As the Head of New Zealand, Amelia will be setting up our local operations and building a team of local talent to complement the team based in Australia. This includes advisors and experts across the entire infrastructure lifecycle from project development and delivery, strategic and commercial advice, project controls and risk management to expert witness and claims services.
