HKA is pleased to announce that Atul Patel has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer, based in our Warrington, UK office.

Atul Patel has over 25 years of commercial finance experience with a proven track record of building high performing teams. He has operated at board level and as a management consultant, developing an extensive range of commercial and financial skills and expertise. Atul also has a strong external focus, particularly in respect of investor relations, and building key relationships with analysts, auditors and bankers.

Prior to joining HKA, Atul spent six years as Group Finance Director for NCC Group, a global information assurance company headquartered in Manchester, specialising in cyber security. He successfully supported the business through a period of strong growth, both organically and through acquisitions, resulting in entry into the FTSE 250 in December 2015.

Previously, Atul was a Divisional Finance and Operations Director at Tribal Group, a leading provider of specialist public sector consulting services, where he created an integrated Consulting division, improved profitability and supported growth opportunities.

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant at PwC, Atul spent over 10 years as a management consultant working on assignments primarily related to enterprise wide performance improvement initiatives. Blue-chip clients included BAE Systems, Chevron, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, MoD, Philips, Rhône-Poulenc Rorer, and Santander.

Atul holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Sheffield and is an Associate of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). In 2016, he was awarded the prestigious ICAEW Finance Leader in Business Award at the annual Manchester Accountancy and Finance Excellence Awards, in recognition of his outstanding leadership skills and achievements.
